Summertime Perch - Getting Stung!

Today we're out here on Lake Erie on a beautiful summer day, fishing in about 55 feet of water, using the stingnose jigging spoon and jigging for perch.

We're running the 1/2oz silver stingnose. Why so big? In the summer and fall the fish are more aggressive, especially in deep water, and the larger size will help me get down to the bottom while still be attractive to the perch.
